Recently, we have been receiving many questions about Santa Q. Is it going ahead this year? When will we hear more? You also regularly ask when our workshops will start again. Understandable questions, because we know how much people look forward to them.
We would have loved to bring you good news. But we also feel it is time to provide clarity: Unfortunately, Santa Q will not go ahead this year. Our workshops also cannot take place for the time being.
As a team, we are incredibly disappointed about this. We had hoped for a solution to come in time, but we can no longer leave you in uncertainty.
Since February, we have been dealing with issues surrounding our permits. We are in close contact with the municipality of Ede about this. An architect is also involved, among others, to carefully work out the possibilities for our location.
Behind the scenes, we are investing a great deal of time and energy in this. We want to give our workshops and events a solid foundation, so that we can continue organising great things in the future. Unfortunately, this process is taking longer than we had hoped. At present, there is not enough clarity to organise Santa Q this year.
For us, Santa Q is much more than an event. It is about enjoying the aroma of BBQs burning together, tasting something delicious, getting inspired and catching up with familiar faces. A day when customers, suppliers, friends and our team come together around the same passion: fire, smoke and great food.
That atmosphere and those encounters are precisely what make Santa Q so special. Having to skip this edition therefore affects us deeply.
Our workshops are also affected by the permit situation and cannot take place for the time being. We miss standing around the BBQ with you, explaining techniques, answering questions and, above all, making lots of delicious food.
We do not yet know when we can start again. We only want to promise something once we are certain it is possible. As soon as there is clarity, we will share it via our website, newsletter and social media.
Our shop and online store will of course remain open as usual. You are very welcome to visit us for BBQ inspiration, advice, great products and a chat with our team.
Thank you to everyone who makes our workshops and events special time and time again: visitors, suppliers, demonstrators and everyone else involved. Thank you also for your interest, patience and support throughout this process.
So unfortunately, no Santa Q this year. We would have loved to see things turn out differently and hope to bring you together again in the future for a day full of good times, fire and flavour.
